Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced Gundam Rogue Orbit, an upcoming addition to the legendary mecha franchise. The company launched an official trailer showcasing the game's high-octane combat mechanics, core narrative setup, and principal cast, alongside confirmation of a worldwide launch in March 2027 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Set against a backdrop of survival against an unknown threat, the narrative follows the pilot designated as RE-X at the helm of the high-mobility mobile suit, the Gundam Helix. Players will encounter a diverse roster of characters, including the mysterious Sofia, Stellarvane captain April, sand pirate leader Big Paul, and knight commander Elaine. The gameplay loop centers on rapid-fire tactical skirmishes, intense enemy swarms, and challenging boss confrontations.
Alongside the standard release, Bandai Namco has detailed multiple special editions for collectors and enthusiasts. The Launch Edition features reversible cover art, a themed poster, and a promotional card for the Gundam Card Game. The Deluxe Edition offers digital extras such as the Premium Mod Skins Set, a 14-color mobile suit palette, digital art and soundtrack assets, and a mission booster. Meanwhile, the physical Collector's Edition includes a steel case, an exclusive HG 1/144 ARK-10 Gundam Helix model kit in an Earth Blue colorway, and a set of five card game promotional cards.
