The October issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Shonen Champion magazine has brought major news for fans of extreme martial arts fiction, officially confirming a television anime adaptation for Baki Gaiden: Retsu Kaio wa Isekai Tensei Shito Ittemo Kamawan Itsude. The series, which transplants Keisuke Itagaki's legendary martial arts master into a fantasy realm, continues to expand its reach with this upcoming screen transition.
Alongside the adaptation announcement, the magazine highlights the release of the series' 17th collected volume. The plot follows Retsu Kaio into dangerous territory as his second battle in the demon realm pits him against a formidable faction of lizardmen, pushing the legendary grappler to his limits.
