Readers preparing for the winter manga releases will soon see the conclusion of a notable comedic series. The December issue of Kodansha's Monthly Dessert magazine announced that Bagudan: Sono Otoko-tachi Toriatsukai Chūi ni Tsuki (Bagudan: Handle These Men with Care), written by Hypnosis Mic scenario writer Yūichirō Momose and illustrated by Hina Hinata, will wrap up its publication run in the magazine's upcoming issue on November 24.
Launched in March earlier this year, the reverse harem comedy revolves around Tokiko, an avid high school fan of otome games. The premise takes a surreal turn when five handsome romantic interests from her favorite virtual world are suddenly reincarnated as her real-life classmates. While Tokiko initially embraces the fantasy fulfillment, the comedy escalates as the male characters' traditional game tropes and intense romantic gestures prompt awkward second-hand embarrassment from the rest of the student body.
Expanding Creator Horizons
Writer Yūichirō Momose maintains a remarkably busy production schedule alongside this manga's conclusion. Beyond his foundational work on the rap-themed multimedia franchise Hypnosis Mic—which launched via King Records in September 2017—Momose recently collaborated with artist Shiwasu Hoshikawa on Gyakusatsu Kigen in Afternoon magazine. Furthermore, his ambitious multimedia project Datewars continues to explore musical styles spanning from the 1970s to the 2000s alongside character designer Hanaharu Naruko.
