The editorial team behind Kodansha's Desert magazine has officially announced that Mika Yamamori's celebrated shojo romance manga, In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki), will conclude its serialization in the coming weeks. The final 45th chapter is set to drop in the December 2026 issue of the magazine, arriving on Japanese bookshelves and digital platforms on October 23.
Launched by Yamamori in July 2020, the series quickly captured the attention of manga readers with its nuanced portrayal of high school romance. The narrative centers on Yoi Takiguchi, a young girl universally admired for her striking, boyish looks and cool demeanor—earning her the affectionate moniker of school "prince." Her routine is upended when she crosses paths with Kohaku Ichimura, the school's male "prince," who refuses to treat her like a celebrity and instead acknowledges her femininity, sparking an emotional awakening for both characters.
He is the first boy to acknowledge her as a girl, and her attempts to distance herself prove futile as he seems to have set his sights on her.

Furthermore, the property secured strong placements in the prestigious Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings for female readers in both 2022 and 2023. International fans have also enjoyed widespread access, thanks to Kodansha USA's English publishing efforts, alongside a 12-episode anime adaptation by East Fish Studio and Atelier Peuplier, and an upcoming live-action film adaptation.
