Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine announced on Thursday that Norimitsu Kaihō and Kurageso's Akarui Mirai manga will conclude in its next issue on October 23. The series launched in August 2025 under the same publication, with Kaihō handling the story and Kurageso providing the artwork. Houbunsha released the second compiled book volume this past July.
Story and Creator Background
The narrative follows Mirai, a socially awkward high schooler whose life takes an unexpected turn when a foul-mouthed future AI warns her about dying alone if she fails to change her ways. Navigating how to make genuine friends proves to be an uphill battle for the protagonist. Norimitsu Kaihō is widely celebrated in the industry for co-creating the hit survival manga School-Live! alongside Sadoru Chiba, as well as penning scripts for acclaimed anime such as Akudama Drive and Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers.
