The mechanical menagerie of Takara Tomy's iconic Zoids franchise is expanding once more. The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the property announced that a brand-new manga tentatively titled Zoids: Chaotic Century Kanketsu-hen (Zoids: Chaotic Century Final Chapter) is officially in the works. While specific release windows and creative staff details remain under wraps, the announcement has sparked immense nostalgia across the fan base.
The original Zoids: Chaotic Century manga, illustrated by Michiro Ueyama, serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine from 1999 to 2001, running parallel to the legendary 1999 television anime adaptation that introduced global audiences to the high-stakes tactical combat of bio-mechanical beasts.
This new manga announcement follows a wave of celebratory milestones for the intellectual property. In July 2024, the franchise marked its 25th anniversary with extensive pop-up shop tours, cast talk show events, themed collaborative cafe menus, and digital streaming releases. Furthermore, the expansive universe continues to cross boundaries, highlighted by Naoto Tsushima's recent crossover project Zoids x Patlabor -Code Name B.U.D.D.Y.-, which launched on Hero Comics in August 2025.
