The unconventional romantic comedy manga Yumene Connect is officially making the jump to the small screen. A brand-new television anime adaptation has been greenlit, accompanied by an introductory teaser trailer and a key visual that set the comedic and slightly chaotic tone for the series.
The narrative follows Yuhi Takamiya, a solitary high school student whose quiet existence is upended by Nona, a remarkably clumsy alien salesperson. Nona arrives with a singular mission: to fulfill Yuhi's earnest wish of finally making friends, leading to a cascade of eccentric misadventures.
Production Staff and Studio Pedigree
Animation production is slated for STUDIO MASSKET, with Sota Yokote taking the directorial helm. The creative team also features veteran character designer Yoshihiro Watanabe alongside series composer Gigaemon Ichikawa, bringing substantial industry experience to the production.
Authored by Kou Sawada, the original Yumene Connect manga serialization began in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2024, continuing to capture readers with its distinct brand of humor and extraterrestrial antics. The series' milestone 10th collected volume is scheduled for release on October 16, 2026.
