Animation studio Lapin Track has officially announced a brief scheduling adjustment for the ongoing television adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa's You and I Are Polar Opposites (Seihantaina Kimi to Boku). Following the broadcast of episode 23, titled "A Place to Belong," the series will take a one-week hiatus next week. The upcoming 24th episode—which serves as the 12th episode of the show's second season—is now scheduled to premiere on September 27, 2026.

The second season of the romantic comedy anime began airing on July 5 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated channels across Japan in the Sunday 5:00 p.m. JST programming block. Crunchyroll continues to stream the series internationally alongside a same-day English dub release. Directed by Takakazu Nagatomo at studio Lapin Track, the production features series composition by Teruko Utsumi (Sarazanmai), character design by Mako Miyako, and musical composition by tofubeats.
The original manga by Kōcha Agasawa debuted on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ digital service in May 2022 after an initial successful one-shot in early 2021. The serialization officially concluded in November 2024, with Shueisha publishing its eighth and final collected volume in March 2025. With over 1.8 million copies in circulation, the praised slice-of-life romance earned critical acclaim throughout its run, securing top positions at both the 16th and 17th Manga Taisho Awards.
