Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have officially acquired the global theatrical distribution rights for Witch on The Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru), bringing TYPE-MOON's acclaimed narrative universe back to the big screen. The highly anticipated anime film adaptation, produced by powerhouse animation studio Ufotable, is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026, before rolling out across international territories starting in January 2027.
International audiences will have access to both Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English-language dub. Alongside the release date confirmation, Crunchyroll debuted an official English-subtitled trailer showcasing Ufotable's trademark visual mastery.
