The North American debut of Cygames' marquee multimedia property faces an unexpected administrative hurdle. The production committee for Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES has announced that the two-day concert scheduled for October 22 and 23 at the Peacock Theater may not move forward as planned due to unresolved United States visa applications.
According to an official notice published on the franchise's website, the organizers have been actively collaborating with American immigration attorneys and local promoters for more than six months to secure the required performance authorizations. Despite those efforts, the visas remain unapproved. Management stated that they are evaluating every remaining avenue to ensure the cast can travel, with a definitive status update promised by October 19 at 10:00 PM PT.
A Landmark International Milestone in Limbo
The Los Angeles showcase was envisioned as the critical international bridge for the franchise's first worldwide tour, slotting between a Tokyo kickoff and subsequent stops in London, Seoul, and Yokohama. The planned roster brought together a massive 17-performer contingent featuring prominent voice actors from across the series:
- Machico (Tokai Teio)
- Tomoyo Takayanagi (Oguri Cap)
- Rena Maeda (Grass Wonder)
- Minami Takahashi (El Condor Pasa)
- Yui Ogura (Manhattan Cafe)
- Hitomi Sasaki (Admire Vega)
- Yukina Shuto (Haru Urara)
- Misaki Watada (Meisho Doto)
- Kaori Maeda (Nice Nature)
- Hikaru Tono (Matikanetannhauser)
This predicament arrives amid broader systemic bottlenecks for international touring acts entering the United States. Escalating administrative delays, fee restructuring, and consular backlogs have disrupted multiple global music tours throughout the past year, leaving cross-border anime stage productions vulnerable to the same regulatory friction.
