A striking new key visual for the Fall 2026 TV anime Toaru Anbu no Item has been officially unveiled. The illustration captures the members of ITEM standing deep within a shadowy alleyway, illuminated only by the brilliant, destructive esper power of Shizuri Mugino.
Based on the acclaimed light novel spin-off within the expansive Toaru franchise, Toaru Anbu no Item chronicles the gritty operations of a four-person dark-side team led by Shizuri Mugino, also known by her Level 5 moniker Meltdowner. The narrative expands as the group takes on a mysterious fifth addition, Chobi Hanano, plunging deeper into the hidden underworld of Academy City.
Animation production is anchored at J.C.STAFF, bringing seasoned pedigree back to the universe. Tatsuyuki Nagai, celebrated for his directorial work on Anohana, Toradora!, and the fan-favorite A Certain Scientific Railgun, takes the director's chair. Joining him is character designer Shigeki Kimoto, known for his work on DanMachi.
