Though I Am an Inept Villainess has officially shared a brand-new epilogue visual showcasing protagonists Kou Reirin and Shu Keigetsu, alongside the much-anticipated confirmation that the adaptation's second cour will premiere in January 2027. The upcoming episodes will kick off the narrative adaptation of the 'First Royal Outing' Arc.
Story Arc Details
The plot follows the stabilization of the inner court after the resolution of previous curses. With the changing seasons, preparations begin for the Harvest Festival in the southern territories. However, an unexpected accident during their arrival interrupts the ritual, leading to another body swap between Reirin and Keigetsu, followed by Reirin's sudden abduction.
Reirin’s two overprotective brothers, Kou Keikou and Kou Keishou, get involved, and the situation takes an unexpected turn. Who is the new mastermind sneaking in to frame Keigetsu…?
Production and Staff
Animation production is handled by studio Doga Kobo under the direction of Mitsue Yamazaki. The series composition is managed by Yoshiko Nakamura, while Ai Kikuchi provides the character designs. The stellar voice cast features Manaka Iwami as Kou Reirin and Natsumi Kawaida as Shu Keigetsu.
The anime adapts the original light novel series written by Satsuki Nakamura, which initially launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform before receiving print publication by Ichijinsha with illustrations by YukiKana.
