The chaotic student council comedy There's a Hole in the Student Council! has unveiled its first official main promotional video, giving fans a vibrant look at the upcoming adaptation. Based on Muchimaro's hit manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine—which captured first place in the Comics Category of the Next Manga Awards 2023 and surpassed 2.7 million in circulation—the series is gearing up for its broadcast debut.
The story centers on Ume Mizunoe, a high school freshman at Private Fujinari Academy. While her literature skills are stellar, her science grades are disastrously low. To boost her academic record, she joins the student council, only to find herself surrounded by an eccentric group: a charismatic reserved president, a strict yet gentle treasurer, a sassy boy, and a tiny stray cat of a general affairs officer.
Alongside the PV release, production details have confirmed that Marchin Phantasia will perform the opening theme song titled Kaze no Naka wa Hashirukkanyanai!, with vocals by Mia and composition by Noko. The series is directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa at studio Passione, featuring character designs by Ryo Imamura and scripts by Masahiro Yokotani.
