Production Pedigree and Origins
Directed by Kiyoko Sayama at J.C. Staff, with series composition by Shinzō Fujita and character designs by Yuriko Maeda, the adaptation brings Nao Iwamoto's celebrated manga to life. Originally launched in Shogakukan's Flowers magazine in 2016, the source material topped the female-targeted rankings in Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook in 2018.
The story follows seven royal brothers dispatched as ambassadors to eight surrounding kingdoms on quests to find their fated partners. Alongside the ongoing television broadcast, Viz Media recently licensed the original manga for English publication, while Amazon Prime Video handles international streaming with same-day English dub support.
