The coming-of-age drama The Ramparts of Ice (Koori no Jyōheki) is returning for its second season on October 1. Following its spring premiere, the series will resume its late-night slot on TBS while streaming globally on Netflix with subtitled releases. A trailer showcasing character dynamics alongside a new key visual have been revealed to mark the date announcement.
Adapted from Kōcha Agasawa's acclaimed webtoon, the story follows Koyuki Hikawa, an introverted high schooler who deliberately keeps emotional distance from those around her. Her self-imposed solitude is disrupted when Minato Amemiya pushes past her guard, drawing her into an intertwined social circle alongside the outgoing Miki and the relaxed Yōta.

Director Mankyū returns to lead the production at Studio KAI, with series composition handled by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love is War). Character designs are once again crafted by Miki Ogino, accompanied by a musical score from Kanade Sakuma and Natsumi Tabuchi. The upcoming season features the opening theme song "Tōmei" performed by Novelbright, while rock band Polkadot Stingray provides the ending theme "Sakasama".
