The critically acclaimed romance and youth drama Ice Wall (Koori no Jōheki), based on Kōcha Agasawa's hit manga published by Shueisha's Line Manga and Jump Comics, is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season. Following the emotional resonance of the first cour, Studio KAI returns to animate the series under the direction of Mankyu, continuing the intricate web of adolescent miscommunications and heartfelt confessions.
The narrative centers on Koyuki Hikawa (voiced by Anna Nagase), a guarded high schooler who prefers emotional isolation over social entanglement, save for her close bond with Miki Azumi (Fuka Izumi). Everything shifts when Minato Amamiya (Shoya Chiba) breaks through her defenses, alongside the earnest Hinata Hino (Eiji Inomata). As the boundaries between the core quartet shift, unspoken feelings and tangled affections take center stage in this poignant coming-of-age chronicle.

Meanwhile, Koyuki learns of the confession's outcome directly from Hinata. Just as she attempts to reach out to Miki to clear the air, an unexpected encounter places her face-to-face with both Minato and Hinata, setting the stage for emotional confrontations.
The second season of Ice Wall officially kicks off its broadcast on October 1, 2026, across TBS and affiliated networks in Japan, with Netflix securing early streaming rights starting October 2.
