The theatrical expansion of Konami’s legendary role-playing universe continues to march forward. The official website for the Suikoden stage productions has announced that Suikoden II will receive a brand-new theatrical adaptation slated for Theater H in Tokyo from July 3 to July 19, followed by runs at Sky Theater MBS in Osaka on July 24 and 25.

Norihito Nakayashiki is returning to helm the production as director, bringing back the creative momentum established by the initial theatrical venture. The staging features a mix of fresh talent and returning veterans from the first play, including Toshiki Kumagai stepping into the role of protagonist Riou, Kazan Yokoyama as Jowy, and Shо̄ Katо̄ as the formidable antagonist Luca Blight. Meanwhile, Yamada James Takeshi and Ryūko Isogai will reprise their respective roles as the fan-favorite mercenaries Flik and Viktor.
The upcoming theatrical run follows closely on the heels of the Suikoden I stage adaptation, which played to audiences in Tokyo and Kyoto. This multimedia renaissance for the franchise also aligns with recent developments such as the HD Remaster release, the mobile title Gensō Suikoden: Star Leap, and the upcoming television adaptation.
