Sega has officially pulled back the curtain on an expansive Year Two roadmap for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, confirming an ambitious lineup of heavyweight collaborations, new playable racers, and mechanics set to roll out starting November 3.
Kicking off the second year of content is the debut of Duel Mode and a comprehensive Gadget System upgrade. Players can immediately look forward to welcoming new racers Bayonetta and Aigis to the track, alongside fresh machines like McLaren Racing and the Butterfly Witch.
Massive Crossover Lineup
The roadmap outlines a steady stream of iconic franchises heading into the racing arena throughout late 2026 and 2027. The previously teased Godzilla collaboration arrives on November 3 alongside the Year Two launch, while the much-anticipated Evangelion crossover is locked in for January 2027, bringing two new characters and three distinct machines.
Looking further ahead, Sega has scheduled a Virtual Sanrio Puroland collaboration for Q2 2027, followed by the Segaland Pack and the working-titled Midgar Pack from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series in Q3 2027. The rollout rounds out in Q4 2027 with the Reload Revival Royal Pack drawn from the Persona universe.
Memories and Beyond Anniversary Short
Alongside the racing updates, Sega dropped a trailer for the 35th-anniversary short animated project, Sonic the Hedgehog: Memories and Beyond. The studio confirmed the short film is scheduled to premiere on November 12.
