The upcoming anime adaptation of Miyuki Nakayama’s acclaimed manga Shota Oni, officially titled Ore to Yuu-nii!, has released its first promotional teaser alongside a confirmed January 2027 premiere window. Animation production is underway at Studio Hibari, bringing a distinct visual warmth to the tender daily life narrative.
Steering the project in the director's chair is Noriko Hashimoto, working alongside veteran scriptwriter Yuniko Ayana, who takes charge of series composition. The character designs and chief animation direction are helmed by Yumi Kuroiwa, ensuring the gentle aesthetic of the original source material translates smoothly to animation. The voice cast is anchored by Shinnosuke Tokudome voicing Tsubaki Sawashiro and Shuichiro Umeda starring as Yu Shimizu.
Originally serialized under Square Enix’s GanGan BLiss imprint, Shota Oni charts the heartfelt and affectionate domestic rhythms shared by its central characters, Tsubaki and Yuu.
