Seven Seas Entertainment announced the acquisition of the hit boys-love webtoon Secret Relationships, bringing the acclaimed office romance to English print readers under its specialized webtoons imprint. Originally illustrated by McQueen STUDIO and concluding its run in 2023, the manhwa amassed over 170 million views on Kakao Webtoon before expanding its reach through a live-action adaptation.
The narrative centers on Daon, a diligent office worker shaped by an impoverished upbringing who maintains strict financial discipline. His relentless frugality initially rubs his colleague Sunghyeon the wrong way, but their dynamic shifts dramatically after Sunghyeon discovers the financial pressures placed on Daon by his family. Complications multiply as Daon navigates lingering emotional ties to Jaemin, a former mentor, alongside hidden truths from his past.
Following its digital success on platforms like Tapas and a live-action television adaptation starring WEi member Jun-seo Kim that debuted on iQIYI, the series is now making the jump to physical bookshelves. Seven Seas Entertainment will release the first volume in a large-trim print edition in August 2027, priced at US$22.99 and CAD$30.99.
