Industry staple audio and video post-production company Salami Studios has officially announced its closure, bringing an end to a remarkable 30-year operational history that heavily shaped English-language anime dubbing and Western animation soundscapes alike.
Over its three decades of activity, the studio established deep roots within the anime localization landscape. Salami Studios handled crucial ADR production and dialogue recording for celebrated titles such as Monster, Kekkaishi, The Prince of Tennis, Buso Renkin, Honey and Clover, and Star Wars: Visions. More recently, the team provided high-profile sound work for Studio Trigger’s landmark Netflix phenomenon Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, as well as production efforts connected to the upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.
Western Animation Legacy
Beyond its extensive anime catalog, the facility served as a foundational pillar for major Western animated series and modern streaming hits. The studio's engineering credits include comprehensive audio post-production for Castlevania: Nocturne, alongside classic television fixtures such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Boondocks, SpongeBob SquarePants, Jackie Chan Adventures, and King of the Hill.
The closure announcement, shared directly through the company's official social media channels, marks a poignant conclusion for an independent post-production house that quietly underpinned decades of beloved animation artistry.
