Following the broadcast of its 24th episode, the short Rilakkuma anime project produced by Production I.G has confirmed a third season titled Rilakkuma: Ki Mama ni Manpuku Biyori (Carefree, Well-Fed Days). The announcement extends San-X's iconic lazy bear mascot's televised journey following previous runs centered on domestic dreaming and worldwide travels.
Creative Team and Staff
Co-directing the third installment are Yoshimi Itazu (The Concierge) and Yumi Kamakura (The Grimm Variations). Character designs remain in the hands of Chiyo Morita, while animation production is spearheaded by veteran producer Keiko Matsushita, known for her leadership on Haikyu!!. The musical score features compositions by Kōta Yokoseki, Yoshiya Ikeda, and Mizuki Kanno under the Legendoor banner.
YOASOBI vocalist Lilas Ikuta continues her dual role on the series, providing narrative voiceover alongside performing the central theme song "stay with me."
First debuting on TBS on April 4 before streaming worldwide on Crunchyroll, the televised short format began with Rilakkuma: Goyurori Yume no Tabi before transitioning into its second arc, Rilakkuma: Tekuteku Sekai Ryokō. Created in 2003 by illustrator Aki Kondo, the San-X character previously headlined Netflix's critically acclaimed stop-motion releases Rilakkuma and Kaoru (2019) and Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure (2022).
