The Elbaph arc of the One Piece anime premiered in Japan back in April, distributed internationally via Crunchyroll. This ongoing broadcast follows Toei Animation and producer Ryūta Koike's strategic pivot announced in late 2025, which shifted the long-running adaptation to an output model capped at 26 episodes per year. After a three-month production hiatus earlier in the year, the modified structure was introduced to allow episodes to incorporate greater fidelity to Eiichiro Oda's original manga pacing while granting the animation staff much-needed breathing room.

Designed to closely align with Akira Toriyama's original narrative vision, the project features extensive redrawn cuts, revised sequences, entirely re-rendered footage, and newly recorded audio tracks. Staff members promise a heightened level of visual expression tailored specifically to amplify the impact of the series' signature cosmic battles.
