Shoujo manga magazine Monthly LaLa has officially released its December 2026 issue, headlined by a special physical bonus for fans of Yuki Midorikawa's supernatural hit Natsume's Book of Friends (*Natsume Yuujinchou*). The latest issue, available from October 23, 2026, features an exclusive Japanese modern-styled desk calendar starring everyone's favorite spirit bodyguard, Nyanko-Sensei.
Yuki Midorikawa's beloved series follows Takashi Natsume, a lonely youth gifted with the ability to see spirits, who inherits his grandmother Reiko's mysterious 'Book of Friends.' Joined by the self-proclaimed bodyguard Nyanko-Sensei, Natsume spends his days releasing or binding the yokai whose names are inscribed within. The property's acclaimed anime adaptation spans seven television seasons—including 2024's Natsume's Book of Friends Uchi—cementing its enduring legacy in fantasy storytelling.
