An official X/Twitter account confirmed on August 7 that author Kennoji and artist R_ringo's romantic comedy manga 'My Sword Saint Master Is Too Cute to Live With!' (Dōkyo Shiteiru Kensei no Onna Shishō ga Kawaisugite Mainichi Shiawase Desu) is receiving a television anime adaptation. The project is being produced by studio Deregula, and a teaser visual has been released to celebrate the announcement.
Kadokawa's previous listing for the second compiled book volume in January had already hinted at the television anime adaptation. The manga originally launched on Kadokawa's KadoComi website in March 2024, with the second volume shipping in January 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series under its Ghost Ship imprint, with English releases scheduled to begin in June 2027.
Seven Seas describes the rom-com story: One man's desire to become strong leads him to a powerful Sword Saint named Liza Parsandra. While her stats are unmatched and her combat skills are legendary, her ditzy personality and stunning looks make her hard to resist for her trainee, Eugene Dawson. Living and training with a scatterbrained yet gorgeous swordmaster creates plenty of hilarious and heart-pumping situations.
Author Kennoji's previous works include Drugstore in Another World: The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist, which previously inspired a television anime in July 2021.
