As the grand culmination of its decade-long celebration, the My Hero Academia anime franchise has officially announced MHA ULTRA EXPO. Billed by organizers as the largest event in the series' history, the massive two-day convention is scheduled to take place on April 17–18, 2027, at the renowned Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan.
The event will occupy Exhibition Halls 2 and 3 for extensive displays and interactive exhibits, while the main Event Hall will host live stage programming, cast appearances, and special presentations. An official website and X (formerly Twitter) presence have launched for the expo, with ticket sales, guest rosters, and stage programming schedules slated for reveal in early October 2026.
A Decade of Heroics
The announcement arrives as Kohei Horikoshi's iconic superhero saga reaches several monumental milestones. The original manga concluded its ten-year serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2024, followed by the main anime adaptation's dramatic finale with Episode 170 on December 13, 2025. Horikoshi recently made a notable return to the pages of Jump with his 61-page horror one-shot Don't Laugh, Shijima-san.
