Publisher KADOKAWA has officially announced a novel adaptation for author Coffee Milk's villainess romantic comedy series, My Fiance Seems to Be Cheating on Me, So Am I the Trendy Villainess? (Konyaku-sha ga Uwaki shiteiru yō na ndesuga Watashi wa Hayari no Akuyaku Reijō tte Koto de Aattemasu ka?). Scheduled for publication on September 16, 2026, the novel release builds on the commercial momentum of the original web comic serialized via Manga Box, which has surpassed 1.1 million copies in cumulative digital and print circulation.
The novel features newly commissioned light novel illustrations by Mizukagami Hizume alongside character concepts by Yamato Inuru, artist for the manga adaptation. The story follows Rose, a high-ranking marquess's daughter who discovers that her fiance, Third Prince Licht, has fallen in love with a noblewoman named Sonya. Resolving not to obstruct their romance, Rose assumes the role of a villainess in hopes of driving the couple together. Her clumsy attempts at scheming draw the attention of Crown Prince Richard, who intervenes as a shadowy mentor and alters her plans.
