The long-awaited television anime adaptation of Kana Yoshimura's cult dark thriller MURCIÉLAGO has locked in its broadcast debut for January 2027. The announcement arrived during Anime NYC, narrowing down the broader release window initially revealed when the project was first unveiled.

Animation production is being handled as a joint venture between Satelight and Staple Entertainment. Veteran director Takashi Naoya oversees the adaptation as chief director while also handling series composition, with Matsuo Asami serving as director.
