Multi-Mind Mayhem (Isekai Tensei Sodoki) anime has revealed its first trailer, key visual, along with a January 2027 release date and the main staff. Studio DEEN is handling the animation for the project, which was first announced in March this year.
The isekai series follows Bard, heir to the noble Cornelius family of the Kingdom of Mauricia. However, Bard is not the only person inhabiting his body. Within him reside the souls of Sanai Oka, a Sengoku-era samurai who served the Uesugi clan, and Masaharu Oka, a modern-day otaku high school student with a particular fondness for animal ears.
Yusuke Kobayashi leads the cast as Bard Cornelius, while the rest of the cast includes:
- Takashi Matsuyama as Sanai Oka
- Satoshi Inomata as Masaharu Oka
- Yukari Anzai as Seillune
- Ayasa Ito as Selina Savaran
- Sumire Morohoshi as Silke Randolph
Hiroaki Sakurai is directing the anime at Studio DEEN, with Keiichiro Ochi handling series composition. Hajime Watanabe is credited with the animation character concepts, Zenjiro Ukulele is handling character designs, and Ryoshi Takagi is composing the music.
Multi-Mind Mayhem is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryosen Takami and illustrated by Ririnra. The story first appeared online on the user-generated site Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2013 before moving to the AlphaPolis platform after receiving a publisher award. AlphaPolis later released the series in print, publishing 14 volumes between 2014 and 2019. A manga adaptation illustrated by Honoji began serialization on AlphaPolis’ website in May 2015. One Peace Books is publishing the manga in English.
