MAPPA revealed a series of newly drawn illustrations for another one of its anime franchises, this time featuring Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise. These are part of the upcoming MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary exhibition, where the artwork will be featured alongside exclusive merchandise. The event will run in Tokyo from September 16 until December 7, 2026, before touring additional locations across Japan.
Previously, the studio revealed numerous other visuals, including ones for JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan. The exhibition will also feature several large-scale installations related to the franchises. The Hell’s Paradise artwork features the main characters, starring Gabimaru, Sagiri and Yuzuriha, Chobei and Toma, Gantetsusai and Fuchi, as well as Shion, Tenza and Nurugai.
Yuji Kaku wrote and illustrated the Hell’s Paradise manga, which was serialized from 2018 to 2021 on the Shonen Jump+ platform. Viz Media licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime. Animated by MAPPA, two seasons have been released so far. The story follows Gabimaru, a shinobi who was known as the strongest in Iwagakure, as he gets sent to a mysterious island to find the Elixir of Life to gain a full pardon and reunite with his wife.
