Shin-Ei Animation is handling production planning. The voice cast features Hina Kino as the lazy cat-chick mayor Nekohiyoko, Rie Hikisaka as the parasitic mushroom Tonton, Kotomi Aoi as Tamao, Reiji Kawashima as Fukin, Marina Inoue as Peace-ke, Kenta Miyake as Zomu, and Hikaru Midorikawa providing narration.
Creative Pedigree
Studio Lesprit and director Tomohiro Tsukimi have assembled a formidable team to translate the chaotic energy of the original YouTube shorts into a fast-paced animated format. Original mascot character designs are credited to Seramika and Hasuwo, while Tomoko Takatsu adapts them for animation. Shota Kowashi provides the musical backdrop.
Alongside the premiere, a special simultaneous watch party stream has been scheduled for the franchise's membership platform, allowing fans to experience the chaotic first episode alongside the creators. New episodes are scheduled to drop on the first Thursday of every month.
