During a special livestream presentation on Wednesday, Type-Moon and ufotable officially unveiled the final promotional video, main production staff, and theme song details for the highly anticipated anime movie adaptation of Mahoutsukai no Yoru (Witch on the Holy Night). The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on November 20, bringing Kinoko Nasu's celebrated visual novel to the big screen with ufotable's signature cinematic craftsmanship.
Creative Forces and Production Pedigree
The film brings together a veteran roster of creators renowned for their work on ufotable's previous landmark adaptations, including the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Fate/stay night franchises. Masashi Takeuchi steps into the director's chair, working alongside chief director Hikaru Kondou. The comprehensive staff lineup also features chief animation director Masato Nagamori, character designer Moe Tsuzuki, art director Kouji Etou, and director of photography Yuuichi Terao. Musical composition is handled by Hideyuki Fukasawa, while Japanese pop band supercell provides the official theme song, titled "Yoru to Ao."
