The long-awaited modern television anime adaptation of Magic Knight Rayearth (Mahou Kishi Rayearth), based on the legendary manga by creative collective CLAMP, has officially confirmed its broadcast premiere. Episode 1, titled "From Another World," is scheduled to air on October 7, 2026, marking a triumphant return for the landmark fantasy franchise over thirty years after the original 1994–1995 adaptation.
Animation production is handled by E&H production with direction by Yui Miura. The stacked voice cast features Ayane Sakura as Hikaru Shido, Rumi Okubo as Umi Ryuuzaki, and Rie Takahashi as Fuu Hououji. They are joined by Saori Hayami as Princess Emeraude, Yuki Ono as Zagato, Mika Kikuchi as Mokona, Yuki Kaji as Clef, and many other notable industry veterans.

The narrative begins when eighth-grade students Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu visit Tokyo Tower on a school field trip. Suddenly, the trio is summoned across dimensional boundaries to the magical world of Sephiro.
There, they learn that Princess Emeraude—whose prayers maintain the peace and order of Sephiro—has been captured, plunging the realm into catastrophic crisis. Armed with newfound courage, the three girls must awaken as legendary Magic Knights to save both the princess and the world.
The series will broadcast across TV Asahi's "IMAnimation W" programming block, running for two consecutive cours. Fans can expect a grand visual reimagining of the classic isekai adventure, backed by a stellar creative team.
