Anime fans will soon have a chance to revisit one of the most memorable crossover events in modern animation history. TMS Entertainment has officially announced that it will stream the feature-length film Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie for free on its official YouTube channel for a limited time, starting on October 24. Viewers can expect the English-dubbed version to be readily accessible during this promotional window.
Originally opening in Japanese theaters in December 2013, the film brings together two legendary pillars of manga and anime culture created by Monkey Punch and Gōshō Aoyama. The plot kicks off when a diamond robbery involving Kid the Phantom Thief takes an unexpected turn, leading Conan Edogawa to discover that the elusive thief is actually none other than Lupin the 3rd in disguise. North American fans previously received a home video release of the feature via Discotek Media, which brought together the classic English voice cast for Lupin's crew alongside the theatrical movie cast for Conan.
This streaming initiative arrives alongside a broader wave of curated Detective Conan releases across major platforms. Netflix and Crunchyroll have been systematically rolling out curated collections of classic episodes featuring brand-new English dubbing produced by Studio Nano. These thematic packages—ranging from early confrontations with the Black Organization to tactical interventions by the FBI—continue to make decades of detective history widely accessible to contemporary audiences.
