Paramount Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have officially revealed the first trailer for their upcoming live-action film adaptation of CAPCOM's legendary fighting game series, Street Fighter. Slated to arrive in theaters on October 16, the feature film transports iconic martial artists into a retro-styled 1993 setting centered around the high-stakes World Warrior Tournament.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai (The Eric André Show, Bad Trip), the production is currently shooting in Australia under a global distribution partnership between Paramount and Legendary. The narrative follows estranged martial arts rivals Ryu and Ken Masters, who are pulled back into ring action when Chun-Li recruits them for an intense tournament that conceals a far darker underlying corporate conspiracy.
