To establish the world-building ahead of the game's release, IGN has begun rolling out Ace Combat Hour Zero, a four-episode live-action prequel series. The production boasts a recognizable Hollywood ensemble cast, featuring Josh Holloway of Lost fame as a stranded pilot, Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) as a combat medic, and Tamlyn Tomita (Cobra Kai) portraying a suppressed news anchor.
In the series, three strangers survive the opening days of the Republic of Sotoa's invasion of the Federation of Central Usea. Josh Holloway stars as a pilot with nowhere to land, Brandon Routh as a doctor who saved his enemy, and Tamlyn Tomita as a news anchor silenced for telling the truth.
