English publishing imprint Titan Manga has officially announced the acquisition of Kuruno Loves the Occult!, bringing Kusada's horror-comedy series to English-speaking readers. The first volume is scheduled to hit shelves on July 20, 2027.
Written and illustrated by Kusada, the series initially launched on Gentosha’s Comic Boost digital platform in February 2024. As of June 2026, the series has accumulated three tankōbon volumes in Japan, capturing readers with its unique blend of supernatural investigation and comedy.
Supernatural Escapades
The narrative follows high-school student Yuuki, who gets entangled by an online acquaintance named Kuruno into various paranormal expeditions. From tracking down urban legends like Kisaragi Station to investigating haunted properties and cryptozoological sightings, Kuruno drags an unwilling Yuuki into firsthand supernatural encounters.
Kuruno is a complete scaredy-cat, relying on Yuuki to find the courage to face the things she loves most. As the pair encounter one bizarre situation after another, their dangerous and often hilarious adventures begin to bring them closer together.
