From Vocaloid Origins to Global Stardom
Yonezu first captured widespread attention in 2009 under the moniker Hachi, crafting seminal Vocaloid tracks alongside self-produced animated music videos. Transitioning to his real name with the 2012 solo album diorama, Yonezu quickly ascended to become one of modern Japan's most recognizable musical talents.
His catalog includes prominent anime theme songs such as "Kick Back" for Chainsaw Man, "Spinning Globe" for Studio Ghibli and director Hayao Miyazaki's Oscar-winning feature The Boy and the Heron, and "Peace Sign" for My Hero Academia. He has also contributed major compositions to titles like March comes in like a lion, Children of the Sea, and Square Enix's Final Fantasy XVI.
