The announcement arrived immediately following the broadcast of the second season's final episode, alongside a brand-new promotional illustration featuring Beryl Gardenant taking a peaceful stroll through his home village of Biden.
Based on the light novel series written by Shigeru Sagasaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima, the franchise has quickly become a juggernaut in the realm of orthodox swordsmanship fantasy. Bolstered by Kazuki Satou's manga adaptation and spin-off titles, the overarching series has surpassed an impressive 11 million copies in circulation. The first season captivated international audiences upon its debut, securing a spot in Prime Video's top ten rankings across more than 45 countries and regions, while also taking home the storytelling award at Singapore's Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards.
