Shueisha's flagship Weekly Shonen Jump breakout hit Kagurabachi, created by Takeru Hokazono, has officially crossed the 4 million copies milestone in circulation. As anticipation builds for its high-profile anime adaptation by studio Cypic, the production has revealed its main supporting cast members alongside fresh character visuals and dedicated promotional videos.
Miku Ito has been cast as Hinao, the grounded and welcoming face behind Cafe Haruharu who serves as a vital bridge to the underworld. Reflecting on her recording sessions, Ito noted that she leaned into a natural, conversational rhythm while ensuring that Hinao's occasional comedic beats carried a striking punch. "I wanted her presence at Cafe Haruharu to feel like a comforting sanctuary within the adaptation," Ito shared regarding her deep connection to the role.
Meanwhile, Miyari Nemoto steps into the role of Kyoka Sharu, a hunted individual harboring crucial secrets. Nemoto admitted feeling initial pressure due to Sharu's concise dialogue requiring intense emotional condensation, but ultimately embraced the recording environment with high energy. "There is a unique levity and resilience to Sharu that keeps the audience grounded amid the dark narrative currents," Nemoto remarked.
Studio Cypic is handling the animation production, aiming to capture Hokazono's kinetic swordplay and visceral revenge-driven atmosphere with uncompromising visual fidelity. The series is officially slated to premiere in April 2027.
