The production team behind Aniplex's upcoming original television anime Inherit the Winds (Kaze wo Tsugumono) has released a brand-new promotional trailer, alongside details regarding the project's theme songs and a fresh cast addition. Set against the turbulent backdrop of late-Bakumatsu-era Kyoto, the historical drama follows an amnesiac soldier who crosses paths with legendary Shinsengumi figures, taking on the name Tachikawa Jinsuke under the protection of Okita Sōji.
Theatrical Preview and Musical Lineup
Fans eager to experience the atmosphere early can look forward to a special two-week theatrical advanced screening in Japanese cinemas starting on November 13, which will focus primarily on the protagonist's origins. Complementing the historical setting, rock bands Quruli and hitsujibungaku are teaming up to deliver the musical soundscape. Quruli contributes the opening theme song "Kaze wo Tsugumono", while hitsujibungaku provides the ending theme "Namida no Kawa" (River of Tears), which will also serve as the theme for the theatrical release.
