Production Pedigree and Staff
The series is scheduled to make its official television broadcast in Japan in January 2027 via the NHK General channel, with Viz Media handling the simultaneous English release window. Animation duties are being helmed by Production +h., under the direction of Kei Suezawa, known for his work on Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot and FLCL Progressive. Character designs are being crafted by Naoyuki Asano of Urusei Yatsura and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! fame, ensuring a distinctive aesthetic for the leisurely narrative.
The story follows 29-year-old Hiroto Ikuta, a carefree individual who balances an unorthodox lifestyle devoid of full-time employment or rigid future plans with a uniquely soothing outlook on modern anxiety and grief. Since its launch in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits in April 2021, the manga has accumulated over 1.1 million copies in circulation and earned widespread critical acclaim, including nominations for the prestigious Manga Taisho Awards and the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
