Haikyu!! has officially reunited with Japan's prestigious Spring High Volleyball tournament for their first collaboration in seven years. Series creator Haruichi Furudate marked the milestone by illustrating a fresh visual of Karasuno's middle blocker Shoyo Hinata, revealed during the Jump PRESS broadcast before being published across official social channels.
Tournament Roots
Commonly known across Japan as "Haruko," the All Japan High School Volleyball Championship represents the definitive proving ground for student athletes across the nation. Because the fictional Karasuno High School journey centers entirely on qualifying for and conquering this real-world event, the collaboration represents a natural bridge between fictional passion and authentic high school athletic competition.
The Road Ahead
Furudate serialized the original sports manga in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. The animated adaptations produced by Production I.G expanded the title into a global phenomenon across four television seasons and landmark theatrical releases. The franchise continues momentum toward a major 2027 theatrical schedule, featuring both the sequel film HAIKYU!! the Movie: VS The Little Giant and the special anime project HAIKYU!! Where Monsters Go.
