Aniplex USA has officially debuted a brand-new English-subtitled trailer for Grotesqqque, the highly anticipated original omnibus anime film helmed by acclaimed creator Atsushi Nishigori. Known for his directorial wizardry on The IDOLM@STER and DARLING in the FRANXX, Nishigori takes absolute creative ownership over this ambitious project, personally handling directing, screenplay writing, and character design duties.
Structured as a tripartite omnibus feature, Grotesqqque weaves together three distinct narratives, each operating under a radically contrasting worldview. The production stems from JOEN, the collaborative industry powerhouse established jointly by Sony subsidiary Aniplex, animation studio CloverWorks, Wit Studio, and publishing giant Shueisha. To match the film's eclectic aesthetic, the alternative idol band METALVERSE provides the driving opening theme song, titled "Shoot Shoot Shoot," while artist Haoto steers the ending theme.
