Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine has officially announced that SHIFT UP's massively popular mobile and PC shooter Goddess of Victory: Nikke will receive a brand-new manga adaptation this winter. Illustrated by Yokoshima Penguin, who previously contributed to official Nikke comic anthologies, the upcoming series will center specifically on the elite Goddess squad as its primary narrative focus, arriving just in time for the franchise's fourth anniversary celebrations.
Expanding the Post-Apocalyptic Universe
This upcoming serialization follows previous expanded media efforts for the franchise, including the slice-of-life comedy manga Goddess of Victory: Nikke Sweet Encounter by Kio Utsusumi. Since its global launch by Level Infinite in November 2022 across iOS, Android, and later PC, Goddess of Victory: Nikke has captivated players with its unique blend of tactical shooter mechanics and high-stakes sci-fi world-building where humanity fights to reclaim the surface from the alien Raptures.
Beyond print adaptations, the franchise has sustained immense cultural momentum through high-profile gaming crossovers with legendary IPs like Chainsaw Man, NieR: Automata, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, and Evangelion, alongside breathtaking promotional animation courtesy of studio A-1 Pictures for the 2024 "Old Tales" event. Fans eager to follow the new manga series can monitor updates directly through the official Dengeki Maoh X account.
