The production committee behind the television anime adaptation of Ikkou Tanaka's high-stakes gambling manga Junket Bank announced that the broadcast has been delayed indefinitely. Originally slated to premiere in October 2026, the series has had its schedule cleared while the team allocates additional production time to deliver an adaptation that meets the standard of the source material.
Production Overhaul
According to an official statement published on the project's website, the decision stems from a desire to ensure the visual execution honors the psychological intensity of the original manga. A revised release window will be revealed at a later date.
The adaptation features a notable creative lineup headed by veteran director Seiji Kishi at animation studio Cue. The core production staff includes:

Tanaka launched the psychological gambling series in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in July 2020. The narrative centers on a clandestine banking underworld where massive debts and fortunes are wagered across lethal, high-concept psychological games. Shueisha published the 22nd compiled volume in July 2024, with the 23rd volume scheduled for release in October.
