Production company Pony Canyon has launched an official website confirming a television anime adaptation of Aito Aoyagi's comedic mystery novel Akazukin, Tabi no Tochuu de Shitai to Deau. (Little Red Riding Hood...). Scheduled to premiere in 2027, the project brings together a seasoned creative team to adapt Aoyagi's unique blend of classic folklore and whodunit tropes.

The production is helmed by director and screenwriter Itsurou Kawasaki at animation studio BENTEN Film, with character designs handled collaboratively by Manami Minakata and Yuuko Yahiro.
Originally published by Futabasha in August 2020, Aoyagi's source material reimagines timeless storybook characters into suspects and companions in a series of bizarre criminal investigations.
