The romantic comedy landscape is getting a fresh addition as Kashiko Amane’s Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret (Hōkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga Aru) manga officially confirms its television anime adaptation. Launching its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the production committee announced that the series will premiere in April 2027, bringing the popular Hakusensha web manga to life.
Production Pedigree and Staff
Animation production is set at Gekkō, with Hikaru Sato directing the project. The series composition and scripts are in the hands of industry veteran Fumihiko Shimo, ensuring a sharp narrative structure. Character designs are crafted by Kibidango 14-gō (Azuma Tozawa), while the musical landscape will be shaped by renowned composers Satoru Kōsaki and monaca. Production is being handled by Starry Cube under the guidance of Ryō Aizawa.

The adaptation has revealed its core voice cast, bringing together accomplished performers and idol talent:

Hizashi Hiruno, a freshman at a super-elite high school, has just finished his first academic proficiency test of the year. He anxiously awaits the results, which will set the tone for his next three years at school. But due to a mistake on his answer sheet, he receives an abysmal score and gets sent to remedial lessons! If there's one silver lining, he's not the only one—and his comrade could be the girl of his dreams?!
Amane originally launched the series on Hakusensha's Young Anime Web platform, and Yen Press published the fourth collected volume in June, setting a solid foundation for the upcoming spring 2027 broadcast.
