The standalone feature film Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to 2-nin no Himitsu has officially reached a historic milestone, grossing over 1.24 billion yen at the Japanese box office. This achievement cements the film as the highest-grossing standalone entry in the long-running Precure franchise history. To celebrate the box office triumph, Toei Animation released official comments from the core voice cast playing the fairy companion characters, alongside a lyric video for the featured insert song "First Step."
The movie expands upon the 23rd iteration of the franchise, following protagonist Anna Akechi as she travels from 2027 back to 1999 alongside her fairy companion Pochitan. Together with detective aspirant Mikuru Kobayashi and the fairy Jet-senpai, Anna solves mysterious cases perpetrated by the Phantom Thieves while defending missing treasures. The newly released comments feature voice actors Emiri Kato (Pochitan), Karin Isobe (Chouchoutan), Hina Yomiya (Mashutan), and Yuki Kaji (Jet-senpai), each expressing deep gratitude for the overwhelming viewer response and emotional resonance of the story.
Accompanying the cast statements is the official lyric video for "First Step," featuring scenes of the mysterious garden and key story beats involving characters Karin, Alan, and Rain. Additionally, Toei Animation announced a secondary staff talk event scheduled for October 29 at Shinjuku Wald 9, featuring director Hanako Ueda alongside producers Mao Nakagawa and Kanako Tada to discuss behind-the-scenes production details.
