Kyousuke Motomi's beloved shojo manga masterpiece Dengeki Daisy is officially heading to television screens. The adaptation is scheduled to air starting in January 2027 as a continuous two-course broadcast, promising an extended run for fans of the iconic romance series. Alongside the scheduling window, production committee members have dropped the first major key visual and a full promotional video introducing listeners to the sonic landscape crafted by composer Masaru Yokoyama.
Serialized in Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine from 2007 to 2013, the manga has surpassed 5 million copies in global circulation. The story follows high schooler Teru Kurebayashi, who relies on mysterious mobile phone messages from a figure named "DAISY" to anchor her emotional world after losing her only older brother, Soichiro. Following an accidental window-shattering incident at school, Teru finds herself indentured to the cynical, foul-mouthed school custodian Tasuku Kurosaki. Beneath Kurosaki's harsh exterior lies an unwavering protective streak, setting the foundation for a transformative relationship.
